History and Background of Surah Al-Falaq
Surah Al-Falaq is a Makki Surah revealed in Makkah during the early days of Prophethood when the Quraysh were opposing the Prophet ﷺ with intense hostility. It was revealed as a direct response to the increasing use of black magic and sorcery against him. According to authentic narrations, the Prophet ﷺ was affected by magic, and Angel Jibreel taught him these two Surahs (Falaq and Nas) as a complete cure and shield. This Surah emphasizes that true protection comes only from Allah, the Lord of Daybreak, against all created evils.

Surah Al-Falaq holds immense importance as one of the two protective chapters revealed by Allah specifically for seeking refuge. It teaches complete reliance on Allah against all forms of created evil.
