Meaning and Importance of Surah Hijr
Surah Al-Hijr begins by emphasizing the truth and preservation of the Quran, a clear message that no one can alter the words of Allah:
“Indeed, it is We who sent down the Qur’an and indeed, We will be its guardian.” (Quran 15:9)
The Surah revisits the creation of Adam (AS), the arrogance of Iblis (Satan), and the promise of misguidance for those who follow him. It also recounts the destruction of earlier nations like the Thamud and the people of Lut (Lot), who denied their prophets despite clear signs.
This chapter serves as a reminder to reflect, submit to divine truth, and understand that guidance comes only from Allah.
