Surah An Nahl

Surah An Nahl (سورة النحل), meaning “The Bee,” is the 16th chapter of the Holy Quran. It was revealed in Makkah and contains 128 verses across 16 rukus, located in Juz 14, 15, and 16.
This Surah is named after the honeybee, which is mentioned in verse 68 as a symbol of Allah’s creative power and wisdom. It emphasizes the countless blessings (ni’mat) of Allah bestowed upon humanity and serves as a reminder to recognize and give thanks for them.

Meaning and Importance of Surah Hijr

Surah An-Nahl highlights the signs of Allah in creation—from the heavens and the earth to animals, rain, crops, honeybees, and the diversity of languages and colors among people. These signs are presented as proofs of Allah’s existence, wisdom, and mercy.

The Surah strongly calls to Tawheed (the Oneness of Allah) and warns against shirk (associating partners with Allah). It reminds people that all blessings are from Allah and that they will be held accountable for their response to His favors.
