Surah Al Mutaffifin
Surah Al-Mutaffifin opens with a severe warning:
“Woe to those who give less [than due], who, when they take a measure from people, take in full. But when they give by measure or by weight to them, they cause loss.” (83:1–3)
This Surah addresses cheating in business, but its message extends beyond trade—highlighting all forms of injustice, dishonesty, and hypocrisy. It warns of the Day of Judgment, when every soul will be held accountable.
The Surah then contrasts the fate of the wicked (in Sijjin) with the fate of the righteous (in Illiyyin), offering hope to the believers and a stern warning to the disbelievers.
