Surah Al Maarij
Surah Al-Ma’arij begins with a warning to disbelievers, referencing a person who mockingly asked about the coming of the punishment. Allah responds that the punishment is real and inevitable, and the Day of Judgment will seem as long as 50,000 years.
The Surah highlights the nature of man—anxious, restless, and greedy—except those who pray consistently, give charity, and possess qualities like honesty, modesty, and fear of divine punishment. It ends by warning that no relationships, wealth, or status will help on that Day unless one lives a righteous life.
