Surah Al-Anam

Surah Al-An’am (سورة الأنعام), meaning “The Cattle,” is the 6th chapter of the Holy Quran. This Surah was revealed in Makkah, and it contains 165 verses and 20 rukus, spanning the entire 7th Juz. It is named after the mention of livestock (al-an‘am) and addresses issues related to polytheism, superstitions, and lawful/unlawful practices associated with animals in pagan Arab culture.

This Surah is deeply philosophical and spiritual, emphasizing Tawheed (the Oneness of Allah), His signs in the creation, and the accountability of mankind on the Day of Judgment.
