Surah Al Qamar
Surah Al-Qamar begins with the miracle of the moon splitting, which was shown to the people of Makkah as a sign, yet they continued to deny the truth. The Surah then recounts the punishments that befell previous nations who rejected their prophets, including the people of Nuh, ‘Ad, Thamud, Lut, and Fir’awn (Pharaoh).
Throughout the Surah, the warning is repeated in the verse:
“And We have certainly made the Quran easy to remember, so is there any who will remember?”
This repeated verse serves as a reminder of both mercy and accountability—that the Quran is accessible, yet many turn away from it.
