Surah Al Ahqaf

Surah Al-Ahqaf begins with the disjointed letters “Ha Meem”, affirming that the Quran is a revelation from Allah, the All-Wise, All-Knowing. It recounts the story of the people of ʿĀd, who were destroyed after rejecting the Prophet Hud (A.S.), despite being powerful and prosperous.
The Surah also highlights the beauty of honoring one’s parents, the rewards for the believers, and the hopelessness of disbelievers on the Day of Judgment. It ends by comforting the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and urging him to remain patient, just as earlier messengers did.
